So confused, why's it not hurting?

Thanks for the responses, it's good to know that maybe it won't hurt too much. It just feels odd as I think it should. Well scan tomorrow to check and then either carry on as I am naturally or an erpc on Wednesday. Personally I'd like the op and then I'd know its all over but if I have been mc'ing then maybe they won't.

Hi james, met you on the 'other thread' ( June 2013) hope you are feeling ok now?

I mc this weekend and while there was lots and lots of blood and huge clots, there was only very mild period pain, not even enough to warrant a paracetamol, and I'm a wuss. I was about 7 weeks, other people I've read about have been in lots of pain during a mc at the same stage or even earlier, I think we're all different.

Hi I have had three early mc and none of them hurt physically at least. My thoughts are with you are this difficult time.

My miscarriage at 6 weeks wasn't very painful either. I've had much, much more painful periods in the past.

Hope you're ok

This is exactly how my MC was so do not worry its normal I was also supposed to be 8 wks and baby had stopped growing at 6 wks. I did MC naturally the day before I was booked to go in for medical management. I was lightly bleeding a bit for about a week, brown blood and a few clots then was out christmas shopping when I suddenly felt lots of blood but still it didnt really hurt, just like bad period pain but not what I wanted to feel, I wanted it to really hurt to match the emotional pain I was going through so I really knew I'd lost my baby. The bleeding carried on for that day with large clots and fresh blood and period pain and was much lighter when I went to hospital the next day. I hope this all goes smoothly for you, it's a horrible heartbreaking time and I'm thinking of you and everyone else who has to go through it xxx

Background is that I found out on Tuesday that it looks like it had stopped growing at 6+3 when I should have been 8+3 and it was likely id mc naturally if not i am booked in for a scan on tues and a op on wednesday. I had had some bleeding hence going to EPU to check.

I have been bleeding a bit more since Friday but still not huge amounts. I had a few clots yesterday morning and some mild pain then but that's all. My normal periods are usually painful and when I mc at five weeks a few years ago that was really painful and lots of blood. So what I want to know is what's happening? Do you think it has not really started yet? It feels a bit weird carrying on as normal knowing that I am losing the baby yet it does not feel like i am as its not hurting or that much blood. I guess I sort of want it to hurt to justify it, if that makes any sense?

I'm going to phone EPU tomorrow to get some advice but just wondered if you girls had any wise words?
