Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Is this the sac? Will it stop now? TMI...

I've had 3 scans that show I'm miscarrying at 5+3, never saw a heartbeat/pole or anything other than the yolk.

Had my last scan today, and decided to try miscarry naturally first. The scan was vaginal, and I think it's finally kicked off the process and now I am bleeding very red blood, but I "caught" a clot while wiping (so sorry if you are reading this), and it was long and stringy with a clear jelly like blob on it...

I think this must have been the sac, and although I am really upset, I almost wish it was and that it will all be over now. I'm sure I've heard before that the bleeding starts to ease off once you've passed the sac, but I've only just started bleeding properly today, so I'm not sure whether this will be the case for me.

I've got a follow up scan the first week of June.

Hello CuttlefishDramas. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Sad What you describe sounds like the sac to me, and as far as I know it can come at any point in the bleeding.

I hope you're being very kind to yourself today. Thinking of you.

Thank you Fanofpeamum.

I know it's selfish, but I am hoping that as it's so early and I've passed the sac on the first day, that I will not have any cramping.

Yes, I hope so too. It might not be much different to period-type bleeding. Not selfish though to hope for as little pain as possible.

Do you have kind people around?

My partner went to work after the scan, but he'll be back soon. I've got lots of people at the end of a phone if I need them, but sometimes your questions can only been answered by someone who's been through similar.

Cuttlefish so sorry for your loss :( I agree that does sound like the sac and with both natural miscarriages after I had passed that the cramping and heavy bleeding did ease off. Hopefully it means the worst pain and bleeding is over for you, take care.

Sorry to hear this Cuttlefish. It does sound like the sac and you may pass clots as well. In my experience the bleeding will be heavy for a few days. If you start to feel ill, faint, dizzy, high temperature, heavy pain, then you should see your doctor.

So sorry. Was the jelly like blob clear? As in transparent? My sac looked Luke a clear jelly like blob at seven weeks (had stopped somewhere between five and six we think).
