Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

I feel useless, Is it normal?

I found out Friday that I was having a miscarriage. I had no idea I was pregnant as I had missed a pill, took the morning after pill which can't have worked.

It's my first MC after 2 healthy boys. But it was my DP's first baby. We never would have chosen to baby at this time as we've been together 7 months. But if I hadn't of had the MC we both think we would be happy about it.

But I feel really useless. Just like I couldnt do the thing that a womans body is designed to do.

Has anyone else felt like that?

So sorry for your loss - yes I felt the same, and like it was my fault. I think it is all just part of the process of getting through this experience, most of the people I've spoken to who have gone through it say that it's perfectly normal to feel that way, but that you must remember that you did not do anything to make this happen and it is not your fault.

Hope you are being taken care of.

look after yourself xx

I'm glad in a way that other people felt like this too. I know I couldnt have done anything to change what happened but I do have moments of thinking 'what if'

I also agree with wellie. Sorry that you are going through this. I felt almost cheated that something that should be easy to do wasn't. I think it is normal.

A big hug.

Yes, it's normal, but of course you know it isn't true since you have two DS's. You need to give yourself time. Miscarriage is really hard no matter what the circumstances. Take time to get your head round what has happened and you'll be fine Grin

PS I've had 2 both at 12 weeks both just before each DS !

I think it's made worse because DP is away with work until 11th feb. So I had to let him know on facebook because he had no phone signal.

I also think it's the shock as I had no idea I was pregnant at all. It's made me feel quite broody in a strange way.
