Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Could this be AF?

I miscarried on 31st July and after letting my body deal with things on its own I had to have an ERPC on 17th Aug as there was still a very small amount of tissue left (although it was at neck of cervix and almost on its way out too)

After the ERPC I had some of brown tissuey type bleeding, this has now turned into heavier/ bright red period type bleeding. It's now 26 days since my MC (usual cycle length) although I've had ERPC in between.

The consultant told me after ERPC that he could already see from the ultrasound that my ovaries were producing a new egg and he estimated that it wouldn't be long before AF arrived.

Does anyone have experience of this? As its almost a month after MC could it be AF or is it just residual bleeding after ERPC??

Hi getawiggleon,
I had to have a D&C 8 weeks ago after finding out I had a molar pregnancy, I didn't bleed much at all after but I have had 2 AF sence. It sounds like your body is just doing what its meant to and getting on with things. All the doctors told me that you dont 'normally' have bleeding after a D&C or very little but I think that every one is different. The only thing you can do is to let this bleed run its course and then count the days till you start bleeding again. Im really sorry for your loss. I hope this helps.
xxxxxxxx

Thanks, Lisalou. I guess things will take a while to get back on track. I think I'm just being impatient as we'd like to start trying again but I feel as though I've been bleeding for a month now (in fact, I have!) so I'm just wondering when it'll all end.

Hopefully it'll stop soon and I'll get an idea of whether I'm going to ovulate or not.

I'm v sorry about your loss too - I hope your body is starting to get back to normal now too xx

Lisa I just wanted to add that I had no idea what a molar pregnancy was but since typing my last post I've just read your other thread on here. I'm so sorry, it sounds like a terrible experience. I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling.

There are tons of great people on here to offer advice and support (as I'm sure you've already found). It sounds like good news that your numbers are are already low. I wish you all the best over the next year and, hopefully, next pregnancy x
