Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

discomfort when standing/walking-normal?

I'm still bleeding from the miscarriage. PG tests still showing +ve. Have been trying to rest in bed but am getting very bored.

Every time I try to go out or do anything I get a dull ache/discomfort in my belly. I'm ok if I lie down again. Is this normal?

I'm starting to get worried that I might have an infection.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I have found that moving increases the uterine contractions, giving period pain / aches but this helps to get everything out quicker in my mind. I find that once I know that it is all over, that moving seems to help me.

I think if you had an infection the pain would be more consistent, not going when you rest.

If you get a temperature or any other sign of infection, you will need to go see a doc of course.

Hi. I had this after what turned out to be an ectopic

One cause was that I had a corpus luteum cyst which had filled up with blood - it caused quite bad discomfort but went away of it's own accord.

I then had a very mild infection and needed antibiotics, after the ectopic was sorted out.

Hi. I am sorry for your loss. You dont mention how long ago it was?

I would see your GP in any case, it may be well worth getting a scan to check there is nothing left which may turn into or be causing an infection.
