Elleste Conti - period

I've been on Elleste Conti for 3 months. Prior to that I was on Elleste Duet for 5 years - fine, it suited me. I had a 2 months break between stopping the Duet and taking the Conti - but the hot flushes came screaming back. 6 weeks ago I started a period - and I am absolutely sure it is 'just' a period and nothing more sinister. Sore boobs, mood swings, the lot. I've been bleeding ever since. I've an appointment with my dr in 2 weeks and will be requesting to resume to Elleste Duet. Would it be unreasonable to stop taking the Conti? I'd ask my dr but have back to back meetings today and simply cannot be waiting around for a phone call. I cannot think of any reason why I couldn't just stop taking the Conti..... can anyone?
Thanks

I think it's ok for you to stop but you might get some side effects from lack of oestrogen.
When you started on the conti regime, had you been period-free for some time (naturally) or was it hard to know if you were on HRT?

I've heard it can take time to settle onto a conti regime especially if you are not really post meno yet. It might be your own hormones breaking through and the progestogen element not being strong enough to prevent a bleed. But do keep the appt with your dr.

I went on conti last summer after being on Elleste duet....just wanted no bleed.
I had a 32 day bleed.....
Back on Duet.

I stopped taking it last week - have an appointment with the dr next week and hopefully will be back on duet. The bleeding was not good (it has more or less stopped) but the sore boobs - nah. Couldn't cope with that.
