Menopause

Lack of PMS Bloating - a sign of menopause?

Ok, hope it is ok to post here ...

I used to have pre-menstrual bloating (normally a good few days before my period), but in recent months I have been feeling and looking decidedly "un-bloated" just before my period. Is this likely a sign of peri-menopause? Hormones dropping off?

I am 41 (well in two weeks) and in good health, bang on sensible weight, regular good (but not extreme) exercise, good diet but with a few treats, low stress and happy. No obvious changes in lifestyle, diet, exercise or anything over recent months.

Thanks pinkfricks: so just se weird body thing going on (a nice thing, unusually...).

Am a little sensitive about "signs of menopause" because we are still TTC DC2 - not very confident, though :(

Hello QT

I always used to get PMS bloating and my breasts would swell and feel very tender. Typically I would gain about 2-3lbs.

But this last year my periods have become much lighter though closer together and for the last few months I have had no physical PMS symptoms at all. No bloating and my breasts never ache. Nothing.

I am in my 40s though and early menopause runs in my family I think.
