Does this sound like perimenopause?

Hi All, I am freshly 38 years old. I had a Lap/HSG in May of this year. Mainly to check why my one tube is blocked and to see if Endometriosis was present. Big surprise they found the endo which had been suspected for years and removed it. Hours after waking from the surgery I suddenly became very itchy and dry down there, like I had a severe yeast infection. Anywho this has gone on for months now and back and forth to every doctor imaginable every one says there is no infection.
I read that itching and dryness could be a sign of reduced oestrogen levels and mentioned it to the doctor at the fertility clinic when this first started who was all "No, no, no I doubt it, you are still young." Yesterday I finally tried some KY Jelly down there and to my surprise, it seems to greatly help.
Bit of a back story, I came off the pill again last year hoping to begin trying to conceive again and it took weeks to come back on, hormone levels were all over the place and my original doctor had said, while I was not in perimenopause yet, I was pretty close. We informed the clinic of this when we began going there earlier this year and they did not seem concerned at all, so DH & I chalked it up to just the BC wrecking havoc with my hormones.
On and off I have suffered hot flashes for the past two years now, I admit my hair falls out a bit, but they say I also had raised prolactin levels, meanwhile that has been treated and still the hair comes out more than it should. I have terrible mood swings. But most of all, the extreme desert down there also leads me to believe I may be starting.

I have been perimenopausal for 3 years- mid 40's and I have no problems like that. Have you had your thyroid checked?

Thyroid was checked last year, while within the normal range for everyday life it was slightly above the recommended level for maintaining a healthy pregnancy, should I manage to fall. I changed my diet around and went on medication for awhile, but it made me feel terrible, regardless the levels did come down. The doctor had me come off the medication and we monitored my levels and they have not gone above 2 since. I believe at last check it was 1.66
