Early menopause whinge!

Just wanted a bit of a kvetch really. I'm almost 41 and after a couple of months of vague but horrible symptoms (crushing fatigue, headaches, forgetfulness, clumsiness, irritability, breathlessness and palpitations) the doc diagnosed me with early-ish menopause. (My bloods all checked out fine apart from FSH and LH, which look wonky, and very very mild anaemia.)

I've started upping my iron intake which has helped with the fatigue a bit, but I'm still feeling fairly rough. And I'm well pissed off that it's happening so early.

Any other early doors menopausers out there who want to share a rant? And any recommendations for alternative therapies? The doc won't give me HRT at this stage because of the side effects.

Hi, I don't understand why your doc won't give you hrt. What do you mean by fsh is wonky?
I understand how you feel because ive had those symptoms and more especially very teary. I went to doc and my fsh was high after 3 blood tests dr finally gave me hrt. I feel much better now although I have times when I get frustrated with forgetfulness and can still be tearful from time to time but these are much less frequent. Im 31 by the way so doc said I'll be on hrt for 20 years!
