When organising a Mumsnet meet up you should take the same basic precautions you would when meeting anyone from the internet - make sure you meet in a public place and that others know where you are going. You can also meet up with other mums on your Mumsnet Local page. Find your Local page here.

Lancashire meet-up Friday 19th June anyone interested? Just off M65?

Anyone fancy a meetup?
I've been thinking of posting about this for ages but couldn't decide where any meet up should be located.
Have decided on a big Brewsters place - brewers fayre pub with a huge soft play area, 100 yards from the M65 Darwen exit (just near Blackburn Rovers football club).

So its handy for mums from Preston, East Lancs, Blackburn, Bolton, Chorley, North Manchester and East Yorkshire - and much further away too for anyone else who wants to come! (and very handy indeeed for me grin)

I was thinking 12-3 Friday 19th June, as after that its getting near the school hols and will be overrun with older children.

They do decent (well ok its brewers fare) food so everyone can get something to eat, and the play area is free for under 2's and I think only £1 for older children.

If anyone interested please put names here.
I might even ask them if we can have a discount off food if there are a few of us.

So, where are ceebee, shhh, toffeecat and curlywurlycreme egg c'mon ladies get your name down here grin

Disclaimer - I haven't been to Brewsters for a while so reserve the right to rearrange the venue if I've made a cock up of any of the details above grin

Will see what I can do, have been there before, it's only a little way from me.

shall we have badges with our nicknames on?

I have a box of laser labels that I pinched when I was being made redundant blush

Good job about having kiddies is, I can just take them there and if no-one else turns up then I won't look like I've been stood up.

I should be able to come, will have to leave a bit earlier, school run.
But yes, count me in.

<<All nervous now as have never been on a meet up! D'you think it's possible to lose 2 stone between now and then?>>

well if its possible please tell me asap so I can as well!
