Is there anyone is south London who follows Gina Ford's routines and so can't go to many groups/activities due to timings?

Antonia3, although I am now back at work (3 months already), my ds who is now 1 yr+ was and is a GF baby. And yes, we did have minor problems getting out and about to groups etc. I have to say though that after he got into the morning and afternoon sleep routine I cheated by letting him sleep in the buggy on the way to or from groups.
Whereabouts in South London are you? I am in the South East. Peckham has a baby soft play area in the Peckham Pulse Leisure Centre(ball pool, soft climbing things, etc) that is open from 0930 until 1630, Monday to Sunday. They also have a cafe that does egg and baked beans, quiches and other baby friendly foods so it's easy to plan a play and a lunch and be home in time for the afternoon nap and a rest for you!
After a while my ds's sleeping pattern was 0930 - 1015 then 1300 - 1345, so it is possible to be a bit flexible. He does like his lunch at 1200 though! He also now does not get a 1430 bottle, only has 1 sleep a day so life is a little easier.

Inga, v pleased to get response to this at last... Thanks for the advice - finding it's getting easier now dd is dropping morning sleep. She finds it hard sleep in in buggy as she always tries to turn over onto her front to sleep. I'm not that near Peckham at all - in Clapham. Thanks for the hints though.
BTW, have you looked at GF's toddler book? If so, is it helpful?
