Hertford - Any mums in this area

We will be moving to Hertford next month hopefully.

We have found a wonderful house (a bit small but the most fantastic garden). Offers accepted, got someone to buy this place, they have mortgage in place survey on here was OK. We have mortgage sorted waiting on survey on new place. That is the entire chain so hopefully nothing will go wrong.

To get back to the point of this thread, we are leaving London and will have to find new friends and things to do. DH works in Hertford, I work in Hemel when not on Maternity Leave, I am having this baby on the 15th and already have a toddler who is 3 next month. I am normally a cheerful soul (except when 38+ weeks pregnant).

Any advice on things to do, people to meet very welcome. We already have season tickets to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne as we love it there.

i'm in hatfield. not much to do here. harlow has a free town farm, and isnt too far to get to, its small but my dd1 loves it there.

I remember when some friends of ours moved to hertford, they choose it as it seemed like the kinda place they could just slot inot nicely, have a pint in the pub and people would be friendly.
