Well, the atrocious cunts who usually organise these things have slunk off on the excuse of having too much knitting to do. Wink

How Very Dare They.

Especially those of you in the first 400 posts.

So including Frank that makes 13 which happens to be a significant and lucky number for me. Smile
Is it enough to go ahead?
And do we need some sort of financial commitment before cat books somewhere, so that no-one ends up out of pocket?

catinwitchyboots · 31/10/2012 19:50

I was thinking we could book a VIP area in a bar in London bridge or southwark. They're mostly free at the weekends - just depends if people want drinks vouchers and fooood

BigBroomstickBIWI · 31/10/2012 19:53

Well I will would willy nilly ...

I've always liked him

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/10/2012 20:10

More Wine BIWI?

BigBroomstickBIWI · 31/10/2012 20:27

Blush

Should, of course, have said:

Well I would add willy nilly

I've always liked him

But when you have to explain your jokes something has clearly gone very wrong!

(No wine in the BIWI house this evening)

SolidGoldYESBROKEMYSPACEBAR · 31/10/2012 20:38

Go for the ROyal Oak, they are lovely. And have upstairs room that can be booked...

catinwitchyboots · 31/10/2012 20:44

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 31/10/2012 22:28

Please add moi. Looking forward to it. What was the name of the place where we were in September? Only problem was distance to the bar and smokies - there were stairs

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 31/10/2012 22:29

Love the boots!
catinwitchyboots · 31/10/2012 22:54

Waves back!!

OP posts:
BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/10/2012 23:07

Nooo, please let's not have stairs.
Apart from all the creaky joint, agonising shoes problems, it just splits the party even more.
Inside/outside is enough degrees of separation.

catinwitchyboots · 31/10/2012 23:24

Ok - Small. On one level. Late licence. No stairs. Smoking place. Music and dancing???

OP posts:
BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/10/2012 23:36

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and yeah!
You're a star cat.
I did do a bit of looking around at places that would do Indian food when that seemed to be what everyone wanted.
Y'know, back when there were thousands coming. All a bit sedentary.
Does it have to be London Bridge/Southwark?

catinwitchyboots · 31/10/2012 23:38

I think L Bridge is quite central for
most train lines without too much tube travel

Mmm Indian buffet would be good

OP posts:
SolidGoldYESBROKEMYSPACEBAR · 31/10/2012 23:40

London Bridge is great, other nice places are: THe George, The Blue Anchor and The Old Thameside.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/11/2012 00:48

The Traveldodgy that we stayed in in September is fully booked for 1st Dec!
Other hotels are saying 2-3 rooms left.
There is a hostel (yikeyfuckingyikes) with 6 or 8 bed dddddorms for £30 odd each.
That'll sort the wheat from the chaff Grin.

Sitting down opportunities too, please!

And yes to music, but only if it's not so loud that we can't talk.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 01/11/2012 11:30

Small. yes
On one level. yes
Late licence. double yes
No stairs. yes
Smoking place. yes please
Music and dancing. yes and yes
Curry buffet don't mind, never eat much when I'm drinking [hwink]

Music - agree with BIWI, must be able to talk!!!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 01/11/2012 11:31

Could be somewhere near Waterloo too? Lots of train and tube lines there, easy to get to from London Bridge as well on the Jubilee line? Just a thought!
