Daily Mirror media request: child-free zones on planes

Hello,

We've had a request from Abigail O'Leary, a reporter at the Daily Mirror currently working on a piece about the budget airline IndiGo's decision to ban children under 12 from a bloc of 8 seating rows on their planes.

IndiGo claim to be "keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of all passengers." Abi is interested in hearing from parents -- do you think it's petty to for people to be annoyed by noisy children for a few hours of their lives? Some airlines charge more to sit in these child-free zones: is this anything more than a money-making scheme?

If you're interested in sharing your views, or have any questions about the piece, please email Abi on abigail.oleary@trinitymirror.com or call 07983885743.

We at MNHQ don't have any further details about this and Alice won't necessarily be monitoring the thread, so if you have any questions please do contact her directly.

Thanks,
MNHQ
