Hi everyone!

I'm looking to find women and their partners to be interviewed for a short doc style film about gender equality in the home. It's for a large cleaning product brand.

Really important subject that often doesn't get enough air time!

Please email georgia@justsolondon.com if anyone is interested!

Thanks so much!

"in doc style film" .... "for a large cleaning product brand"

Do you mean you are making an advert?

What is the fee for appearing?

RiverTam Fri 11-Mar-16 16:38:29

And if you mean sex equality then say so. Sex and gender are not the same thing.

gunting Fri 11-Mar-16 16:40:00

Oh, this won't go well at all.

Destinysdaughter Fri 11-Mar-16 16:40:40

Oh boy here we go again...

ProfGrammaticus Fri 11-Mar-16 16:41:02

Haikus, anyone?

georgiarose123 Fri 11-Mar-16 16:43:06

No it's not an advert, it's a case study film and 'doc style' because using real people talking about real issues!

ProfGrammaticus Fri 11-Mar-16 16:43:42

But will there be haikus?

InvictusVersinium Fri 11-Mar-16 16:45:37

Yes, soothing sex vs gender, Haikus please.

And, georgiarose, there is a little warning there just above where you posted. It does say that you might want to "get a feel for our forums" before posting. Clearly you did not take the sage advice to hand as if you had, you'd have known that sex vs gender is a big fucking deal here on MN and that many of us eye suspiciously those who over use the !!!!!!

BedTimeNow Fri 11-Mar-16 16:47:28

Echoing a PP, what's the fee for appearing?

sunnydayinmay Fri 11-Mar-16 16:48:23

Oh dear, I am starting to feel sorry for anyone who starts a thread on the board.

TheWildRumpyPumpus Fri 11-Mar-16 16:48:32

What's it got to do with the cleaning company then? Will it be used for research purposes for them, or to flog their product at some point?

LilacSpunkMonkey Fri 11-Mar-16 16:49:31

What's it got to do with a cleaning product if it's a documentary?

You need to explain the link.

trollopolis Fri 11-Mar-16 16:50:10

Also, as not an advert, where will the final 'doc-style film' be shown?

Plus how much time is it expected to take up, between what hours, and what is the pay rate? And crucially, where? Are you paying all travel and accommodation expenses on top of appearance fee?

Destinysdaughter Fri 11-Mar-16 16:50:38

Dirty dishes wait
Yesterday's dried spaghetti
Mocks me from the sink

Why fold all the clothes
When kids will shove them in drawers
Seems like senseless work

Vacuuming the stairs
Is such a tedious job
Plus it hurts my back

It would be so nice
If the cats could hit the box
When they scooch and poo

On top of my fridge
A clan of dust bunnies live
I will not disturb

In the produce drawer
I found old asparagus
That looked like pesto

InvictusVersinium Fri 11-Mar-16 16:51:05

What does a large cleaning product brand have to do with gender equality?

<truly baffled>

GibbousHologram Fri 11-Mar-16 16:52:38

My gender is not
The same thing as my sex but
We have a cleaner.

Farahilda Fri 11-Mar-16 16:54:56

"Oh dear, I am starting to feel sorry for anyone who starts a thread on the board."

I don't; there are dozens on unexceptional requests in the last month or so.

That there have been a few unfortunate ones in a clump is just coincidence.

SpeakNoWords Fri 11-Mar-16 16:56:23

Do you mean the fact that women take on a lot of "wifework" by default, and you want to interview couples who do the "wifework" equally at home (or where the male partner does more than half)? Does it matter if the partners are same sex?

ILeaveTheRoomForTwoMinutes Fri 11-Mar-16 16:56:50

Granted its request isn't as bad as this one

But yes why is a cleaning product sponsoring a it's a case study film and 'doc style' because using real people talking about real issues!

What issues?

InvictusVersinium Fri 11-Mar-16 16:58:20

Real issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gender equality cleaning issues! The hard hitting real issues!

HamaTime Fri 11-Mar-16 16:59:56

Cleaning product brand
Interviews women for free
Mind the gender gap

ProfGrammaticus Fri 11-Mar-16 16:59:57

Cleaning products are
Used by all genders and none
Should be no issue

ProfGrammaticus Fri 11-Mar-16 17:01:18

But where is the ad
Asking men to work for free
I just don't see it

ProfGrammaticus Fri 11-Mar-16 17:02:05

But of course we know
Men have no care for cleaning
Best ask the women
