Do you know how to rewire a plug, or put up shelves? And could you help teach other women these practical skills? DO. IT. YOURSELF., a feminist workshop weekend, needs volunteers!

We need women with practical skills to teach at DO. IT. YOURSELF., a feminist skill-sharing workshop weekend on 18 and 19 January 2014.

Specifically, we’re still looking for:

- Bike and car mechanics

- IT geeks

- General DIY enthusiasts

You don’t have to be professional or top of your field, but if you have practical skills that you could teach others, please get involved. We’ll be running classes in IT, sound, basic DIY including plumbing, putting up shelves, etc, as well as car and bike mechanics, and electrics. There will be six classes across two days.

Could you help? We need volunteers to teach classes over two days in London this January, and although it’s unpaid, you’ll get a delicious meal on the Saturday evening, and join us to make friends and enjoy some drinks before the second day of the workshop on Sunday. You can also attend any of the classes you like!

. *You don't have to be professional or even know that much, just have passion and want to give women the skills to feel more empowered. *

This is practical feminism and is an essential part in the fight for equal rights and a better world for women to live in so please, please, please get in touch if you think you have what it takes to help out!

If you think you’d like to be involved, please email ruth_fehilly@hotmail.co.uk for more information, or phone 07891 933 517.

Bump.

I'm near Manchester so no good to you I'm afraid but excellent idea smile
