BBC News website seeking parents with kids obsessed with Minecraft

Hello everyone,

I'm a journalist working for the technology pages of the BBC News website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology/ - and wondered if folks on Mumsnet could help with a story I'm putting together about the video game Minecraft.

The article is about parents who have kids that spend a lot of time playing Minecraft; or watching videos of other people playing Minecraft or are chatting with their friends about playing Minecraft.

I realised there was a bigger story to tell here as recently every time I've gone out with friends as soon as "Minecraft" was mentioned everyone talked about how much time their kids spent on the game.

The article will aim to answer some of the worries about the game and show how it can do good things for kids - it's helped one of my boys make lots of new friends as he runs his own Minecraft server that they all play on.

Please get in touch with stories or tales about Minecraft and what your kids are doing with it. Best email for me is mark.ward.01@bbc.co.uk

Thanks
Mark
