Hi all,

I am representing a group of five students currently studying a Masters in Public Relations at Bournemouth University.

We are doing a project relating to Hand Sanitizers and anti bacterial products. As mums have been identified as a key target market for our client, we believe that any help from Mumsnet would be perfect.

The link below is for a questionnaire which should take only a few minutes to complete.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing your responses.

All the best,

To HippiTEEHoppoTEE

It is a university campaign- thus it is a hypothetical campaign- our ideas will not get used in any actual campaign, but in order for it to be as realistic as possible, we are expected to do proper research- hence this questionnaire

On a side note: as a Student of PR, I would disagree with the idea that a PR campaign is marketing, the boundary is certainly blurred but there are a number of important differences between PR and marketing

As a group of students we had to scrape together the coppers to pay the £30 to put the questionnaire up, so we cannot afford a bribe, instead please this picture of a baby sloth

I agree Deep. Where is the offer of a Dyson? <still bitter> smile

But ive done it anyway. <helpful>

And where was our bribe for completing this, hmmm???

MNetters don't get out of bed for anything less than a £50 Boden or Amazon voucher in a prize draw!

<flounces off>

"finally, no it is not marketing- we have singled Cuticura because our university project is based around developing a PR campaign for them."

Um...what do you think marketing is? So it is marketing. That's what a PR campaign is. Marketing.

hmm

BartletForTeamGB Thu 21-Mar-13 10:47:54

Very difficult to reply when I don't use hand sanitiser. Also not able to say that I don't use hand sanitiser because soap and water kills more bugs and it won't kill things like norovirus. I gave up.

To SPBInDisguise: Apologies for any mistakes, although it sounds like some of the issues (the age one) are to do with the questionnaire mechanics and are therefore beyond our control.

finally, no it is not marketing- we have singled Cuticura because our university project is based around developing a PR campaign for them.

Oh sorry no they were all starred. But the "what influences your purchasing decision" was highlighted. But I don't buy them!

Sorry just tried to do it and its an awful survey. Lots are not applicable with no not applicable option. Just tried to submit and its come back to tell me I've not selected an age - I have. Why is cuticura singled out - is this actually marketing?

The questionnaire will be closed on Monday morning so if anyone else could complete it then that would be amazing, this will also be the last time I bump the message smile

Done. Yes some of the questions need re-writing!

It does say "Do/Would you use" (at least, it did just now -- it may have been updated since 10:24)

Done, but it wuldn't let me leave a question blank - "do you use a hand sanitiser" I answered yes, the next question was "if no why not?" I had to answer other, even though the question wasn't relevant.

Some of your questions need a Not Applicable option.

Do you use a sanitiser - yes
Why don't you buy them - er, I do.

Do you go to festivals - no
Do you use sanitiser at festivals - over my dead body er I don't go to them? But I would if I did??

Please make your link active for those of us on phones.

EeyoresGloomyPlace Tue 12-Mar-13 10:19:14

Done, although it made me answer the question about why I don't use sanitisers despite my previous answer saying that I do use them.
