Not all tensions in therapy need to be negative experiences; some tensions can be resolved or small compared to other helpful aspects of the therapy, or learnt from. However some tensions can be unhelpful.. the research is looking at tensions whether they are resolved, helpful, unresolved, unhelpful, large or small.
