Damn, wish I had seen this sooner, my 10yr old would love this + as I've got her home ill, I would love her doing it too, something productive to occupy her - will try + get her onto it tomorrow, but not sure if she can manage it in time, can give it a go though

Oh good, I'm SO glad, she didn't really have very much time on it in the end, so it was less well structured than would have been ideal, she was planning to do research, and sorry, she didn't even do a word count.

I wish I'd seen this before. My kids are all in their 20s so don't qualify to enter.
Haven't read whole thread but I wonder if there is a way that some of us could support the project by contributing to a prize fund?
I would be more than happy to donate £20, I think it's wonderful, along with other projects that you're involved with/instigate MmeLindor.

That is really lovely of you, and not at all inappropriate. The wonderful women at Tarabooks have agreed to donate prizes, so it is not necessary.

It would be great if you could all have a wee look at Tara Books to thank them for their support. They have wonderful books with truly stunning illustrations. Really worth a look.

I think we will do another competition because this one was really well received.

We also have a pile of books needing reviewed, so will be doing something in the near future about that.
