ITV News case study request - Keeping children safe online on internet-enabled devices and smartphones

Hi - ITV News are interested in speaking to any mums about trying to keep kids safe online when using smartphones or other internet-enabled devices.

Argos has commissioned research, the results of which will be published tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd October), claiming that while many parents have safety devices in place for surfing the internet on home computers, few have measures in place for safely surfing mobiles - largely due to a lack of awareness of how to do so.

The number of children with access to internet-enabled devices is only going to get higher as smartphones become more common and we'd be interested in speaking to any parent who might be concerned about this. It would be an on-camera interview ideally with a parent whose child already uses a smartphone or other internet-enabled device, and the child themselves if it's possible/convenient. We would like to do the interview in the morning, we could come to you - somewhere in the London area would be best.

Please give me a call on 07768 506528 if you think you might be interested in taking part.

Dan
