Hi all,
I know we're still months away from Christmas, but in the interests of ToyNews' monthly magazine deadlines, I'm having to ask you all extra early! If you could answer the following that'd be great:
- Is your budget for Christmas toys more or less than last year?
- How much will you spend on your child this year?
- How much will you spend on other children this year? (friends/family etc)
- Would you push your budget in order to buy your child a 'must-have' toy?
- Where and how will you buy your Christmas toys this year?
Many thanks,
Dom

- is your budget the same, more, less - I've made a smaller budget this year as my kids normally get way too much.
-how much will you spend - about £150 for 6 year old , older two getting musical instruments as they are teenagers ( cries at the amount it will cost for them)
- how much for other children - hopefully get them all for £100
- would I push my budget for a toy - only slightly, not by hundreds of pounds.
- where and how will I buy Christmas toys - all paid for with cash/ debit card. I don't want to be paying for Christmas when it's past. I buy online mostly from the book people, amazon, tesco and some stuff from argos.

Our budget is less this year, we've finally realised that the kids don't need so much money spent on them!
We'll spend up to £80 on each child. (most likely £50- £60)
Other children are budgeted £10-£15 each
I would slightly push the budget for a special toy, but would probably reduce the amount spent on tat stocking fillers.
Most items for Christmas will be bought on line, mainly amazon and The Book People, and special sales like the half price Sainsburys toy sale (If they do it again this year). I save during the year for Christmas, and luckily earn a lot of overtime during Nov and Dec.
Is your budget for Christmas toys more or less than last year? The same
How much will you spend on your child this year? About £50
How much will you spend on other children this year? (friends/family etc) About £15
Would you push your budget in order to buy your child a 'must-have' toy? Not until he is a lot older and we have more money.

Is your budget for Christmas toys more or less than last year? More
- How much will you spend on your child this year? £200 on older child (but he didn't have anything spent on him for his birthday in August) and £30 on youngest child.
- How much will you spend on other children this year? (friends/family etc) £5 on god child and £5 on god childs sister. £2 on chocolate selection pack for a nephew and other nephews will have presents recycled from last year.
- Would you push your budget in order to buy your child a 'must-have' toy? We are pushing the budget on the older sons present due to not having birthday present this year. About £150 more than normally spend and £20 less on daughter this year.
- Where and how will you buy your Christmas toys this year? Instore the week before Christmas for a laptop. Online using tesco vouchers for the younger child.

- Would you push your budget in order to buy your child a 'must-have' toy?
Never, it would ave to be affordable, I am a very practical person

I hate buying things online, mainstream supermarkets, I hate going to Toys R Us because it is in a hellish retail park. I try to shop in my small local town.
