We would like to talk to you, your daughter, mum and gran about your aspirations, experiences of work and family life and how opportunities have changed across different generations in your own family.

This is part of a project IPPR is undertaking on how the lives of women have changed between generations. The project aims to explore whether this is the best of times or the worst of times to be a women. It will compare the opportunities and aspirations of younger women compared to their mothers and grandmothers. It will cover a number of important questions, such as how motherhood impacts a woman’s aspirations, how our celebrity obsessed culture and media representations of women affect how women feel about themselves and a range of other issues affecting women today.

Interviews will take place during March and April. We are looking to interview all three generations together and also to interview some women individually. Each interviewee will be given a £20 high-street gift voucher for taking part. Interviewees need to be over 16 years of age. We hope to focus our interviews on the North West, South East and Northern Ireland.
