Hi

Do you home school your child?

I’m looking for someone to write some material for a home study course on home schooling.

The course will help people who are considering home education.

We already have in mind a list of points to be included, and we have sample material from other courses you can look at.

You should be someone who likes to write, and who educates their child at home.

We would pay around £300 for a 3,000 word module.

If you’re interested, please click the ‘Message Poster’ button above, or email clsj888@aol.com

Thanks

Janey

Hmm, could probably write quite well about learning activities
I do with my DD, especially based on numeracy and literacy. My DD is in school though sad

Would be homeschooling if circumstances were different.

Hi there,
I'd be interested in knowing more about this. I like writing and have a degree in English. I used to be an English teacher but now home educate my two boys. Please contact me with more information if you're still looking for someone.

Hi
I'd like to know more - I home educate one child out of five and have just returned a child to school from home ed. I was a primary teacher for 12 years and then had my small business writing teaching materials/ running websites. I blog at www.fivekidsandcounting.wordpress.com and a www.mammapolitico.wordpress.com. I have seen home education from both sides so this could be right up my street !

I'm an English graduate and mother of five who home-educates, although my middle two have been in school for the past two terms, so I can see the view from both sides of the fence! I've had some small bits of writing (poetry) published in the past, and would be happy to do some factual writing for you on this subject, as it's something I've done a lot of research on myself.

Have you found anyone for this yet? I am a writer myself and would be most interested in helping you, and I home educate my eleven year old.

OP Are you part of the company who wants to charge £479 for a course in home education from new families nervous about their choices, when they can get all the information for free from the home educating community here and elsewhere??

shock
angry
sad
If you are, shame on you, it's a RIP OFF!

A HE friend has summed up my feelings on this

"I certainly feel that whatever knowledge base I have about home ed has been built up through contact with others who have travelled the path before me. I think it's part of the deal that I then share what I know, rather than try to make a buck out of it."

The parallel topic seems to have disappeared from the Home Ed board. I wonder why?

To repeat what I said there, why would anyone need a "diploma" in home education? The "clients" are unlikely to ask for a qualification as they tend to be the children of the home educator.
