Low-carb diets

Best carbs to add in for maintenance? Darling BIWI?

Went from vlcd to low carbing (which I absolutely love) I'm 4st 6lbs down now.
Typical day:
Bacon and eggs
Chicken salad
Olives and cheese as snacks
Salmon, slim noodles and low carb veg for tea.
Berries and soft cheese with sweetener.

May have the odd emergency Atkins chocolate bar if needed Grin
I'm still losing a few pounds a week but I'm getting to the point where I just want to maintain now.
Never ever thought I'd say this, but I just don't relish the thought of lots of carbs again. I remember how rough I feel after them.
What do you suggest I add in to slow the losses but not put on?
Thanks so much in advance Flowers

You called? Grin

I think the key thing is to add carbs in gradually. This is the basis of the Atkins diet. You start in induction at 20g carbs per day, then add 5g per day and do that - I think - for a week. Can you keep doing this till you reach a point where weight loss stops or you start to gain.

5g carbs isn't very much though! Which would suggest that the first thing to do would be to add a bit more veg, or perhaps to allow yourself more carby veg more often. Or some fruit, if you like fruit.

But bloody well done - that's a tremendous loss! Flowers

Thank you thank you!!
I knew you'd know, you is fabulousness Smile Flowers

Always around 4 months? I started vlcd in Nov but came off in Dec for 'life' reasons Sad then had a break until March, I ate anything normally in this period and only put 1lb on, this included holiday, big birthday.
Then back on it for March, low carbing since beginning of April.
To be honest, if I'd have known how easily the weight comes off with low carbing, and how great you feel, I'd have done this from the beginning!
First time ever I can genuinely ignore crisps, bread, cakes without feeling put out. It has revolutionised my food brain.

Blush I know it's quite fast, I'm thrilled apart from the inevitable wrinkly skinned belly
But I haven't actually exercised yet so hopefully with improve that slightly.
