I'd rely like to loose between 5-7 lbs.

Last time I did it was a combo of low carb & 5:2. I did find it hard but the mindset was there & I felt fab with clothes fitting me etc.

3 years later I just can't get my head round it & flit on a daily basis of shall I fast, shall I low carb, shall I calorie count. My brain is muddled.

I need 3 meals a day but low on bacon, cheese, red meat. Fish, chicken ok.

My brain is scrambled Sad

Day 1:
Meal 1: smoked salmon, scrambled eggs (butter, no milk, extra whites added) steamed mushrooms
Meal 2: roast chicken breast with sliced avocado (I make a dressing using 1 tsp green pesto and 2 tsp olive oil)
Meal 3: stir fry broccoli, onion, mushroom with prawns (bit of lo sodium soy, bit of oil)
Day 2:
Meal 1: Dukan galette made with cinnamon and sugar free vanilla essence.
Meal 2: Spanish omelette (onions and garlic, no potato) with side salad (lemon, garlic, oil dressing)
Meal 3: salmon fillet covered in a bit of the pesto and baked for 20 mins uncovered, asparagus/French beans/pak choi (not too much if opting for the beans)
Day 3:
Meal 1: smoked kippers (the fresh boil in bag ones with butter)
Meal 2: leek or asparagus vinaigrette with chopped hard boiled egg
Meal 3: Mexican stir fry (prawns, beef, or chicken) with onions, half red pepper, guacamole, full fat sour cream, crunchy lettuce (wrap in the crunchy lettuce if you want ultra low, or in a thin dukan galette for more of a tortilla)
Day 4:
Meal 1: Boiled eggs (or repeat one of the other breakfasts)
Meal 2: salmon (lightly grilled) and sliced avocado and cucumber in a lo sodium soy, wasabi dressing. I also like cold steamed broccoli with a bit of sesame oil and crushed peanuts.
Meal 3: chicken in a cream, shallot, and mushroom sauce with a side of slow cooked leeks (I really like Jamie Oliver's recipe but maybe too high on the cheese for you?). This is the richest of all the meals - a good hunger buster.
Day 5:
Meal 1: another Dukan galette (any flavour you fancy)
Meal 2: prawn and asparagus salad (avocado, chives good additions) in a rose Marie dressing (full fat Mayo, bit no sugar tomato ketchup)
Meal 3: fish cakes (Cod, haddock, salmon mix, pre-cooked, bit of chopped boiled egg, bit of cooked cauliflower, bound with more egg, lots pepper, bit mustard powder) shallow fried and served with side salad.

Other stuff - sugar free jelly, gin and slim tonic (Schweppes not fever tree)

Well you are fab ! Thank you - my brain can't seem to create low carb dishes, maybe because I made & ate the same variation (salmon/chicken/tuna) everyday...ThanksGrin

Hi, I'm crashing this thread - those meals look great. I am defintely going to try this after Christmas. Does the Dukan galette taste any good? I imagine you can put flavourings like cooked mushrooms or smoked salmon into the mixture before cooking? Thanks for the ideas

I really like the Dukan galette; have eaten it pretty much every morning for the last 3 years ! I've used lemon & a tent sprinkle of sugar, the agave syrup & the low gi choc shot stuff.

Does actually fill me up & stop me pondering more food.
