PCOS and Low Carb

I've just been diagnosed with PCOS and I'm trying low carb as it sounds like the most suitable way for someone with my condition to lose weight. Is anyone else on here having success with low carb who suffers from PCOS and can you advise how much carb/sugar or what sort of foods you are eating to successfully lose weight?

I'm currently eating 50-100grams of carbs and less than 30 of sugar mainly all from vegetables. I'm currently eating six small meals a day about two hours apart and avoiding eating a few hours before bed. I've lost four pounds so far but with all the information I have read about carbs affecting my insulin levels I'm feeling nervous about eating them.

I'm not quite sure I understand you - you talk about grams of carbs and grams of sugar - but they're the same thing!

Low carbing is supposed to be very good for PCOS, from what I've read.

But you may find that you're still eating rather too many carbs if you're up at 100g - but everyone is different. Give it a go and see how it works for you.

Good luck!
