Right then. I'm going for it again.
But could someone explain why it worked the first time, then when I tried again, it was really hard and didn't? I didn't get withdrawal, it just wasn't going anywhere. My problem is I'm knackered and my joints ache all the time now, which makes me 'need' chocolate etc for instant energy and to basically be able to function. This is Not Good.
Can I be really whiney and have a lot of handholding and stick beating this time pretty please? I'll even buy some scales this time maybe

Well, NotTwit, if you were eating chocolate, that might possibly just explain why it wasn't working! You don't need chocolate, and you don't need 'instant' energy. Once you are ketogenically-adapted, i.e. your body has switched from burning carbs to burning fat, your energy will all come from fat - so if you're eating plenty of fat there isn't an issue.

But yes, there will be plenty of hand-holding and, if you really want, there will be lots of beating with big sticks! Grin

But seriously, what is your medical problem that means that your joints ache all the time? And are you taking medication for this?

I can't do it until may due to being upduffed, but I can dream of bootcamp and help wave sticks!

Excited for this! I'll be at least a week in though by then, starting as soon as I get some new scales!

The rules are on some of the other boot camp threads, right? Will I have to give up rice? I will, won't i? Oh god...

Report
NotTwit · 26/12/2013 23:33

Ooh no, I wasn't eating it then. It wasn't working right, I felt crap etc < insert the usual excuses> and gave in.
I don't think I have a medical problem, I don't get enough sleep thanks to 2y/o and am overweight. Might be worth getting checked out after bootcamp if Things don't improve though. Which of course they will.

Yes yes to The Stick. (And hand holding)

Me! I want / need to lose 2 stone by my wedding in October, did LC before and got on really well with it (but then had two babies and it all went to pot again), hoping it's as easy this time.

Me! Me! I KNOW I can't eat wheat or sugar but ignored it for Christmas and now have mouth ulcers as well as feeling like a bin bag full of inflamed wobble.
