Hello, I have just started the 8-week Blood sugar diet and wondered if anyone else on here is doing it and wanted to join my thread for support/encouragement/chat?
I do not have any blood sugar issues as far as I am aware, but I need to find a way to change my habits around food for good or I suspect I will do in the future. I have been doing 5:2 for several weeks, and find it doable and sustainable, but what I need is to kick the crazy fat/carb/sugar binging habit I have. Even though the 5:2 has been working in terms of weight loss (fairly slowly but consistently 1-2lbs a week), it is not properly helping me to shift my bad habits/negative mentality around food, because I tend to use the fasting as an excuse to then binge on the other days. Not a healthy attitude! So I decided to do this diet for eight weeks to reprogram my food habits and then after the eight weeks, return to 5:2. Then I intend to do two fast days as before but the rest of the week eat normally and, most importantly, healthily (i.e. don’t binge/eat crap on the non fast days).
So if anyone else on here is in a similar situation, I'd love to hear from you. I find weight loss so much easier if there are other people in the same situation to talk to.
