Blood sugar diet

Hello, I have just started the 8-week Blood sugar diet and wondered if anyone else on here is doing it and wanted to join my thread for support/encouragement/chat?

I do not have any blood sugar issues as far as I am aware, but I need to find a way to change my habits around food for good or I suspect I will do in the future. I have been doing 5:2 for several weeks, and find it doable and sustainable, but what I need is to kick the crazy fat/carb/sugar binging habit I have. Even though the 5:2 has been working in terms of weight loss (fairly slowly but consistently 1-2lbs a week), it is not properly helping me to shift my bad habits/negative mentality around food, because I tend to use the fasting as an excuse to then binge on the other days. Not a healthy attitude! So I decided to do this diet for eight weeks to reprogram my food habits and then after the eight weeks, return to 5:2. Then I intend to do two fast days as before but the rest of the week eat normally and, most importantly, healthily (i.e. don’t binge/eat crap on the non fast days).

So if anyone else on here is in a similar situation, I'd love to hear from you. I find weight loss so much easier if there are other people in the same situation to talk to.

I'm giving it a go. I'm a total emotional eating binger.

Having lost several stone a few years ago through something similar I have put it all back on and now have am morbidly obese so need to sort it out.

Great Diamogs - if you've done it before, you know you can do it! I am terrible for yo-yoing myself and I need to get a grip and make lasting changes. I have two stone to lose and then I need to maintain PROPERLY this time instead of putting it all back on and having to diet again!

I have a period mid-morning and mid-afternoon where I am really hungry but so far staving it off with herbal tea. Apparently once you can stick it out for 2 weeks, it gets way easier and the cravings disappear so I am determined to stick it out!

Hi ive done it and lost 19lbs its great and really easy ..Theres a whole community of us here on the Blood sugar Diet thread Part Three Come and join us!

(I'm an intermittent poster there right now..but have been sticking to the principles since my 8 weeks ended and have kept all the weight off..)

... but you've posted in the Bootcamp topic! You'll get more interest if you post in weight loss chat, I think. (I don't think there's a blood sugar topic yet)
