Morning all!

Here, for the last time this Bootcamp is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Hopefully the scales will be kind to you for our last weigh-in!

For those of you that are still here - even you lurking at the back! - it would be great to hear how much you've lost this Bootcamp.

And also, we'll keep this thread going for chat - when it fills up I'll start another general low carb chat thread.

Just signing in for this thread as I think I missed last week Blush

Romeyroo · 20/07/2015 08:57

Well, I planned to STS and work on adjusting to maintenance but have lost another four pounds and an inch of my middle. I am happy about this Smile but now worried it is too low to maintain. But I don't feel like I am depriving myself. I am not eating very much compared to what I used to, though. I feel totally confused about what is normal.

Good luck to everyone for the weigh inFlowers

RaisinGirls · 20/07/2015 09:18

OK, so despite following the plan I have put on weight :-( Here is my food diary for the last two days (typical of most days).

SUNDAY:
AM: Coffee with double cream. two eggs and double cream scrambled with chorizo - fried in butter.

LUNCH: two pieces of cooked chicken (drumsticks / thighs) with mayo and salad

DINNER: homemade chili made with low carb tomatoes and lots of oil with lots of cheese grated on top.

SAT:

AM: Coffee with double cream. two eggs and double cream scrambled with mushrooms - fried in butter.

LUNCH : Nothing as was full

DINNER: homemade pork burgers, with cheese, fried in oil with salad

BC has gone so quickly!
Total Loss-26.4 lbs! Although the scales were higher this morning than yesterday (may be due to birthday feasting)

WineCheeseSleep · 20/07/2015 10:14

Wow patapouf that's a big loss, well done!

I lost 2.5 pounds this week but only a total of 5.5 pounds overall. I would have hoped for more but I feel like I'm on a roll with it at the moment and I've always been slow and steady when I've lost weight before.

I will be KOKO for the next few months at least I'm sure until I get to my target weight.

BIWI thank you so much for all your help and setting this all up. This has made a real difference to me and opened my eyes to why low fat diets don't work for me. I had no idea. You're a star!

AndTheBandPlayedOn · 20/07/2015 12:46

I lost 6 overall. I have not really felt deprived or that I was "dieting". I think to lose more I may need to count calories and not go over 1200-1400/day.
That is doable and I just need to be conscientious about staying focused on it.

Exercise also! I work out formally (class) once a week and walk on my own two/three times/week. I feel it will be necessary to do a workout 5 out of 7 days. Also doable: I have no excuses really. Blush

I really appreciate your threads BIWI. I am finally ready in my head to get into better shape and it felt serendipitous to find your threads after peeling myself away from the relationships board. Thank you! Flowers

Morning/Afternoon All, Due to family crap which will not lessen despite great distance and claiming bad phone signal!! I have fallen off the bandwagon so to speak. However to step away from the stress have started C25K more for head space than anything else. Stayed the same for the last few weeks so with everything else going on pretty pleased

Big thanks to BIWI for all the help and support - been totes amaze balls! xoxo

BeyondTheWall · 20/07/2015 14:39

Just a quick comment so this is on my tio :)

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 20/07/2015 14:49

Another 2 lbs down this week Grin that's 12 lbs gone over this bootcamp and I'm pretty pleased with that

Beccus · 20/07/2015 14:50

lost 6lb this week, woosh! Smile Smile

StuntNun · 20/07/2015 15:19

AndTheBand where do you get 1200-1400 calories a day from? Even if I do no exercise at all I still need a minimum of 1600 calories a day and I got good weight loss results at 1800 calories per day while doing light exercise.

Romeyroo · 20/07/2015 17:01

I have no idea how many calories I have per day, I just eat when I am hungry and as I have listened to my body, that has got less.

Well done to everyone posting lossesStar

Kleptronic · 20/07/2015 17:09

Hello people. I went on my holiday to Butlins with my 11 year old last week and utterly succumbed to carbs, I swear it is the carbiest place on the planet. So, 5lbs on. Serves me right.

Back on it today and hoping 2lbs of that is water and it will go by the end of the week. I'm back on this for another 10 weeks now - I have lost 13lb all told over 4 months as I was doing it before BootCamp started, and 5lb back on in 10 days.

Thank you BIWI and StuntNun, you've helped me change my life.

miffy49 · 20/07/2015 17:17

I think some people do have to consider calories Stunt. As you know, I did really well but stuck for over 12mths! Not actually close to target either as still got around 2st to go. I was evangelical about not counting calories but I reached a point where my weight was creeping up and my BG too. I re-read my Jenny Ruhl book. She is keen on LC for controlling BG but does say that some people will need to count calories to maintain weight loss. Especially if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic. I eventually gave in and used her calculator to work out my macros and started to lose almost immediately. You choose your carb level according to your BG so I was able to stick with the keto. It gives you a suitable protein level for your age size and activity level. (I get 69gr) Obviously you then top up with fats.

I didn't get cracking with it until after the start of BC but so far I've lost 6lbs. Its working out at just under a pound a week. The main changes have been smaller portions of protein, very little yoghurt and only moderate cream but I still get the odd IPD truffle or some dark choc with my evening coffee. Phew! Grin

I haven't posted before so as not to mess up the people who are just starting out on the LC journey by bringing calories and macros into the thread when theres no need. Before I was working out at around 1500C with a 5/25/70 split of carb/protein/fat. Now the macros are the same but I only get 1150 cals! Actually I'm fine on that. Not hungry or craving and generally feel pretty good.

Wouldn't like anyone to read this and panic thinking they need to count everything. Don't lose sight of the fact that I lost about 6st before I needed to tweak!

BeyondTheWall · 20/07/2015 17:19

I'm up 1lb on yesterday but a) my period has arrived and b) i was very very sick hungover on Saturday

billabye · 20/07/2015 17:54

I haven't weighed in yet. I had a terrible week last week with a very poorly toddler, a birthday and a houseguest. I have no excuse now and from today I am back on it.

LexLoofah · 20/07/2015 18:09

Haven't weighed but thinking I have STS on this BC which is fine, need to get back on to start losing again so I can buy some clothes for this climate!

Set up my new countertop water filter/purifier last night and like a kid with a new toy have drunk loads of water today, so much harder when it is not blazing hot so good to have the big shiny visual reminder right there in kitchen where I walk past all the time, need to get some ACV though, GCAL is right drama you need the unfiltered one with the mother

LexLoofah · 20/07/2015 18:11

The Braggs ACV is on Amazon, haven't seen it in the shops yet

ShebaQueen · 20/07/2015 19:39

14 kilos/30lbs off in total although I started before the official start of this bootcamp. I'm so happy and will definitely be koko as I need to lose another 10 kilos/22lbs to get to my target weight.

Thanks to all the amazing recipes and the helpful tips, I haven't felt deprived at all and it's second nature for me to eat this way now, I don't even consider carbs.

Thank you BIWI for the resources, you are amazing Flowers

Patapouf · 20/07/2015 20:56

Star well done everyone!! And Flowers for BIWI!

I still have a lot to lose so I will be KOKO and biding my time until the next BC. I have been so lazy recently with meal planning so in going to buy a spiralizer to liven things up as a treat for completing BC.

BIWI · 20/07/2015 20:57

Thanks for all the flowers Grin

But I'm not the amazing one - you all are. It's you who have done all the hard work.

Star for everyone

OP posts:
lisbapalea · 20/07/2015 21:45

Annoyingly considering it's the final week, I gained 1.5lb! But on the plus side it's only my second week of gaining across the whole BC, and I have lost 1.5st this year, mainly through this woe.

I can't get on the spreadsheet on my phone so can't remember my total bootcamp loss but I know it's significant.

I will definitely be KOKO as I know I need to lose at least one more stone. I think th last couple of weeks have been quite boozy so I am going to cut that back for a few weeks to get back on track.

Food today:
B - coyo, berries and some flaked almonds
L - a ploughman a without bread; the only vaguely BC friendly option at a dinosaur / farm park place
D - home made meatballs in a creamy tomato sauce with mozzarella and Parmesan, on courgetti, followed by strawberries and cream.

I'm finally back on the wagon, and have stayed on all day today, which is a minor miracle.

patapouf thanks!

miffy49 · 20/07/2015 21:55

I find the ACV makes it easier to get down the water. I like it best in sparkling water. It makes it really refreshing.

readyforno2 · 20/07/2015 22:20

Hi everyone, looks as though you have all done so well.
I well and truly fell off the wagon. In the last three weeks have been to Majorca and North Wales and quit smoking.
Back on the wagon now, hope there will be a continuation thread for those of us who are gonna keep going.
