Just started the Dukan diet and about to commence the "cruise" phase.

I've bought them in Holland and Barrett.

They taste fine as long as you rinse them thoroughly and DO NOT smell them! I'm afraid I put myself off for life by smelling them.

I'm talking about the Zero noodles in Trills' Amazon link btw; not sure if they're the same as the ones you refer to?

I found shiratake noodles in Wing Yip (the Chinese supermarket).

I either buy them from the nearest Chinese or Korean supermarket or I order them online.

They are completely tasteless. But - when you open the packets, they are stored in a liquid that smells quite fishy. I have no idea why, as there isn't anything fishy about them at all! But rinse them thoroughly, and then when you use them in your dish, all that happens is that they take up the flavour of the food you're cooking them with.

Amazon. I never liked them. The texture was just not for me.

Holland and Barratt - sold as 'Zero noodles'
I preferred the rice version to the noodles or the zero pasta though - the texture of the zero stuff when cooked is harder than normal noodles so is closer to rice.
