Mauritius in March with toddler?

We're thinking of choosing Le Victoria in Mauritius for our honeymoon in March as the rooms look quite large and we'd like a bit of space for our 18 month old. Has anyone been to this hotel or to Mauritius in March? I've heard it can be quite stormy at this time of year. Any advice greatly appreciated...

I have been in March - I think it's a good time to go, it will be hot, and there may well be mid day rain, but of a hot tropical nature that quickly dries.I have not been to that hotel, but have been to that area of the coast - should be a good destination. It is not on the windier side of the island.

Hotels in Mauritius are very hospitable.

I've been in February - we were narowly missed by a cyclone, check the storm season.
