I do like having a fancy, yet as nice as it is it really makes you realise you are on yuor own iyswim.

Like being single is my normal, and its ok, but you realise it would in fact be nice to have someone to cuddle. (and the rest)

i have a tiny crush on someone, but he is just a jack the lad so i shall admire from afar......someone has a bit of a crush on me, dont fancy him remotely.........and yes it has made me realise that im on my own, nut ive only been on my own for just over 2 months so i really like it at the minute....its nice to be able to have male friends again without justifying my friendship to anyone

That's so true fawkeoff, I really enjoy this liberty now. No more: why are you talking to him, why are you flirting with them, blabla..

I don't think any of us are pirate, some times thou just have to have faith n hope you won't be - never know he might be the one who you really click with.

i'm happy with my vow of celibacy for now thou - liking the looking but not interested in the touching/emotional side (read that as them getting involved too much in my life!) side of things right now.

davidtenantsmistress, I understand the thing about not wanting to have anyone involved in my'life'

If i di dmeet someone i don't know how that part would work, as i have become so independant, and 'dependant' on MY little way of life here on this home with dd.

Oh well it's the weekend, and no chance of a glimpse (to coerce the ever mounting butterflies) till monday at school!!

hi !! he knows he has an admirer thru a third party. just trying to be careful on here!!!

I'd be gagging to tlak about it other wise.!!

He has a good description of me, yet i am not 100% sure he knows who i am iyawim.

I rarely see him, and friends and i have had a few laughs over my next move.

If i do get the oppostunity to say hello i will, and see what response i get. Yet as i only see him rarely at school then that for now is the only chance.

my other thought is that is he wants to find out, then he 'should try harde'r!!!

but me, once i get an idea in my head, i just want an answer, result etc...!!!!

I so know what you mean about fear of rejection, you are in a secure bubble when you are in a relationship, but as soon as its over reality kicks in, and we have to go through it all again.........only its not like last time, your body has changed from having babies, you're older, you have the stigma of being a single parent with x amount of kids........and for some reason a majority of men just think your fair game and will open ur legs for them and you should be bloody grateful!!!!!!!!!

I would just like to have a thing where i can have a man to snuggle up to and watch a film blah blah blah.......i dont want to go down the road of having illicit sex with random people, because it is not going to give me what i want

I'd go for it sooner rather than later, piratecat, the rejection gets worse the bigger it has got in your head, iyswim. How exciting! I hope it all works out ok.

Just go for it! My 'love life' has become very complicated recently, but if I, and others hadn't just gone for it, nothing would have ever happened, and things have been waiting to happen for quite a few years. School finishes in a fortnight, so then you'll have to wait 6 wks until the next time you'll have a chance, so just bite the bullet & flirt with him!

Report
piratecat · 05/07/2008 22:35

lol yes 22nd july is embedded in my head.

We do have a school fair evening next week, apparently there is alcohol there too!!

He has been constantly asking the 3rd party about me, but i have been away.

Yet it would also be quite easy for him to get my number, if and when he finds out if he indeed thinks I am fanciable i guess.

if i could see him out in the pubs after I'd had a few, i'd not hesitste. It was easier inthe old days of college etc...

the more this goes on tho, the worse it will be for me, i am already having doubts abuot my appearance etc, and i don't even have a clue if he knows who the hell i am.

thats a lack of confidence thing tho. please tell me thats normal!!

I don't want what's happened with ex dh to dampen my sparkle.

ah pirate just go for it and to hell with the rest I say! but yes the independant/dependant thing you talk of is where i'm at right now - that mixed in with fawks, how nice would it be to have a best friend who you could ave movies etc with and snuggle at home, then he go at the end of the night and not try anything on??

oh and pirate, yes you're normal, often when one has suffered rejection to go tot eh bottom I find, questioning everything and looking/feeling really haggered & like a real frummy moo - it's normal, (least I feel it is) jsut shows we're all human, important thing thou - so i'm told is to quash all those thoughts and turn them into positives - you say the man might not know who you are - maybe he does, but thinks ou're not intrested/is too shy to talk to you first? make that first move - girl power! lol.

Ihate the way some men assume that 'single parent' = easy lay, and you should be grateful for the attention etc.

well date went well today, althou man is slightly shorter than i'd like. but over all is a nice chap, he's all for 'making things official' but i've said no -not ready for it, don't want that, we're metting again in a few weeks when XH has DS again, he lives about 30 miles away so far enough for me to keep m space which is nice for me. says he's happy to go at my pace - so watch this space! lol. hmm..... now off to make some hard decisions I think, as man no 2 who I was keener on, than the one I met today - has backed off (seems to get so close then back off - sounds v familiar lol), but he has the height build & strenght, other one from today is well - just yummy! but not got the strenght & height. ho hum!

dtm

you are busy!

where have yuo met them, on a dating site?

I still check in t mine in hope that a gorg male will send me a fab email!

I went for a coffee with a guy about a month ago, it was more or less a blind date as his profile picture was rather hazy. He was nice, had a good sense of humour but I didn't fancy him one jot.

Maybe you are right, he may now know who i am.

He passed me in the corridor in friday just as i was giving dd a kiss bye bye, and my firends said that was good as he prob got a right cleavage eyeful.

!!

I hope this week is the week i can say hello.
