if you've got a new partner after splitting up with dc's dad do you still call yourself a single parent.

only cos sarah said she was a single mum last week on corrie and i thought it was a bit odd as her and jason were living together and getting married.

love how i relate rl to soaps lol

I wouldn't class her as a single parent, but I guess until they are actually married, she has sole financial care for the kid

I would class myself a single parent until a long term commitment had been made - engagement or something

single parents arent SP if they live with someone, a SP is someone who is bringing up a child or children soley on their own, if someone just has a boyfriend then they are still regarded as a SP, sarah platt isnt a SP as she has jaaaaaaaaaayson living with her
