partner left so i have to make claim for IS tomorrow, i am glad he left as violent but he tends to keep coming back and i feel if he is expected to pa maintenance he will think he has the right to see children all time and bother me so i want to opt out,

what happens, i know last time i applies (and he came back so i had to cancel before i got the call back) i was told i would get a call the next day for CSA interest, i said i wanted to opt out and they said i will still get the call

you will have to give the reasons why you dont want you ex chased for maintenance, if possible provide them with any police statements to back this up. I would advise you that whether he pays csa or not he will still have the right to see the children unless you go to a solicitor, unless he has been violent toward the children he will most probably get access.
