I'm also on my own with 2 kids. Their dad whom I was married to was also abusive toward me. I also suffer with bad anxiety. (Are you me???? Grin )

Do you have any family members near by?

I'm just trying to sort out my anxiety issues but I don't want to go on medication. I'm in the process of finding a therapist so that I can come to terms with what has happened to me and my kids. What sort of help are you trying to get or have you not taken that step yet?

User I am sure the college courses will help good for you!

If there is any spare time beyond the college courses how about a volunteer job in a charity shop a lot of single parents have done that over the years.

I work at home but I did try charity shop work once however I couldn't spare the time away from earning money but it was definitely a jolly and sociable option and a good way of not feeling trapped indoors. I can definitely recommend it.

Heya, how are you feeling today?

I totally get where you're coming from. Im trying to deal with anxiety and depression, my ex was abusive, and I've to deal with social services because he's been charged with child related offences, and bloody hell I'm exhausted and lonely!
I like online groups for single mums, book clubs, craft groups etc because I can talk to people without having to leave the house and get tripped up by my anxiety!
I do find keeping busy helps, your courses sound like a great opportunity, kudos to you for doing that! I read a lot, try to devote time to my son to get him interested in the world, and mostly I keep my head above the water. Then I have days like today, where I just miss having someone to interact with who knows me, can make me smile or know what I'm thinking without me having to say, I just realise how much I miss having a connection to somebody.
At least I'm not the only one.

If you're a big reader, do you like audiobooks? It can be a good way to get some light exercise, like a walk, while still following a good story!
I really hope you're feeling a bit better today.
