Almost 3 years.

I've had a few dates but that's been it. Sometimes I think I'd like to meet someone and then I realise it's just a lot of hassle

Luckily I still have a few good single friends - I think it would be worse if everyone around me was a smug married.

Thats what I feel like Snafu.Sometimes feel like I'd like someone to talk to in the evenigs, chill out, cuddle up to in front of the tv etc but then think of the other side and can't be bothered

I haven't even had any dates don't really meet any blokes though either.Sort of started something with a colleague but neither of us put any effort into it

I'm with Nightowl. Been living on my own for 4 years now but the odd bloke has drifted in and out of my life now and then.

Just over a year. xp and I decided to split early Nov 05. (infidelity issues ? his side) We were in the process of selling our house at the time and both stayed until the sale completed early Dec 05.
DS and I moved over 250 miles away from where we were to be near my family.
Never been happier. Haven?t even contemplated another relationship.

Think when you come out of a major break up (majority of people here I'd think) you need a break to get yourself together. Its only in the past year i have felt like I am 'sorted'.

i split with exh in nov 05, i had a holiday fling about 4m later, followed by the odd no strings thing with people i knew

my current oh was supposed to be the same, i met him in august, but is much more than that now

unfortunately he's off in april and i wont see him again

so i agree that a long gap inbetween relationships would be a good idea, to save more heartache on top of the old

I have been single since end of 2002, when i learnt I was pregnant. There have been a couple of blokes, complete waste of time and space... I can't be bothered tbh!!

Was single for 2 years before I met current DP. Been together now for just over a year.
Extremely happy being single, wasn't looking for anyone, but am also extremely happy now!

About six years. Had a few flings, one of which resulted in ds. But nothing since then. Have to say I don't know where I would find the time/energy/inclination!!!!! Am content with my life as it is; although yes I do sometimes feel whistful for a hug/cuddle/affection. Friends can only give some much....

Been officially single just under 2 years, but was unofficially alone for many years before that, as he was never there emotionally and barely around physically.
Couldn't fit in a full time relationship now, as I'm working and at uni as well as single mother to two children, but I do have a bit of a casual thing going with a lovely 'friend'

Good for you turquoise!

I have been single for three years. I did have one 3/4 month thing in there but it wasn't anything serious. Since then not much but the odd very brief fling.

I like being single, and with uni and dd, friends and family, I can't imagine finding time for a man.

Still, if one came along, I'd make the effort. Probably.
