Since splitting with my ex 3 years ago he's put us through hell.
We've all had such a tough time, things were settling down and now he's kicked it all off again which makes me withdraw tbh like I can't face anything.
Today I discussed a holiday with the kids to which they replied well that won't be happening because we will be living with dad.
It's such a kick in the teeth and makes me just want to run away from them.
I genuinely can't cope with them thinking the sunshines out his Arse after what he's done to us all.

I really know I have to fight for them for their own good but I guess sometimes I just want them to find out what a Cnut he is for themselves

15,13,11 and 5
The 15 year old just doesn't give a shit about either of us and is counting the days till she can leave home.
The 13 year old knows he's an arsehole but is just so confused and hurt by everything she is confused I guess.
I just feel like we are finally back on our feet and he's pulled the rug out again and they think it's fucking marvellous

It's so tough OP. I hold fast to the idea that when they grow up they will finally get it.

My ex and his partner micro manage every aspect of my parenting, from clothes to discipline and everything in between.

It's destroyed my confidence as a parent. Before we split up the bloke couldn't be arsed with parenting at all. Now he's a cross between uber mummy and Dr Sears backed up by his childless girlfriend who's suffering from "when I have my kids they won't" syndrome.

I am with Derek just because you don't live with a parent doesn't mean you can't go on holiday with them.

knot my family try to micro manage my parenting too. It's left me a wreck because I never know whether my gut instinct is right any more. Totally ruins your confidence doesn't it Sad.

Meg it's so hard isn't it?

You start second guessing everything and it doesn't matter how many things you do right you get pulled up on the one thing you did wrong.

That doesn't bother me tbh I just think if you could do any better have a go ..... Oh sorry what's that you don't want to give up your life ? Ignore the idiots.
It's more the knowing the life they should be leading if I'd picked a better man for their father that kills me
