Need to moan...what would you do?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant with dc2. I have sole residence of dc1, whom exh sees three times per week - their relationship is good.

For the past few weeks everytime exh comes to see dc1 he complains about being tired, run down, having a sore throat etc. He works hard (as do I) but I'm finding it increasingly annoying that as a heavily pregnant woman I'm having to listen to his sob stories when I'm still working, I provide most of the finances for both dc and in my current condition I'm getting very little sleep and have very little help from him or anyone else.

I've tried telling him to get a grip a few times, I've also taken on more of the responsibility for dc (some weeks he only looks after dc one day rather than three as he's on tired to do more...).

What would you do? Oh and he's been to the doctor, he has no health issues.

I don't think you have a lot of options. What can you do? Do you have any family that can give you a hand?

I feel ok to cope on my own, I'll have some help from family when dc is born. Tbh I feel really pissed off and let down that my ex would behave like this - it's like he wants to be centre of attention and all woe is me when I could've done with some support.

Why are you having these conversation with him - he can collect dc1 from the door and drop off the same no need for the chit chat.

I would reduce for chance to have these chats..
My Ex was like this when pregnant ( we were still together at the time) don't give it air space..

That's true, I shouldn't be getting dragged into his attention seeking. I phoned him just now and asked him about how much help he can realistically give when baby is born, not from a pressure point of view but from a practical way. He suggested I ask my sister to help rather than him... Nevermind that she lives 100 miles away and has a business to run. So basically it's looking like all this is an attention seeking act to get him out of helping with dc2. Im not Happy Sad ugh.
