proud moment wanted to share no one else to tell

Am really happy today. Just had parents evening for ds (age 7) and he is doing really really well yey! I had been worried as its been a rough year with his father leaving and impregnating new partner a month later. And then having to have contact with the new family.

But he is doing fine and in top set for literacy! Just feel so proud as its me who does all his school stuff etc so I feel kind of validated maybe? Its so hard to know if you are getting things right on your own.

Anyway just wanted to "tell" someone!

Thanks if you read it

You know what? - you have even more to be proud of. You have done more than survive. You are helping your child to thrive. Well done. Consider yourself squeezed (as in hugged!).

It's lovely isn't it. I don't think there is a much better than when my children get complimented.

Fantastic! You are officially doing an awesome job! I found the shine came off happy moments a little when exH first left as there was no one to share with. Now I just rejoice in them (and tell anyone who will listen! )
