My ex rearly takes my two out and spends all day around here watching telly like it was normal, I find it really irritating but his excuse not to take them out is financial and always makes a dig about the csa and how much they take from him, grrrrrr

Playgrounds are free! Why doesn't he take them there?

tinyfox - it would irritate me too but it is his choice at end of day. How old are the kids? I expect they will either express that they dont like staying in or enjoy slobbing out.

what's wrong with taking them to the park???

The flat above us is a flat share and I think a new guy moved in about a month ago. Seems like every 2 weeks he gets his little girl for a few days on a Sunday. I'm not a single parent, but if I were and would only see my kid every fortnight for a few hours I'd want to spend time with him/her, right? Well he sends his dd who is the same age as mine (4/5) out to play in the back yard on her own whilst he sits up on his balcony on the first floor... wouldn't be a real problem IF the back yard were secure! It's easily accessible from all sides and therefore anybody can cut across or worse she could run out onto the street. Thankfully she's cottoned on that we have a little girl too so as soon as she's out back she knock on our window and asks whether dd can come out to play. I then grap dd and ds and go out back to 'look after' that girl. She's such a sweetie so I don't know why the father doesn't pay her 100% attention whilst he has her Angry

Well he will just say the weather is bad or make some excuse not to. you would think that he'd want to take them out. By the way they are dd7 and ds6. He always leaves me with a big black cloud over my head,.
