Maybe they need to start ensuring no shoes are worn in the house with a crawling baby.

I have the same problem dcs come back smelling of a fusty damp scruffy smell <boak> dcs go straight in the bath and the clothes get washed straight away. They both have dad outfits some oldish clothes that they only wear when they go to his.

It's not comparable to painting at all. It's not unreasonable to expect a reasonably sanitary environment for a crawling baby. I wouldn't accept it. If the house is that dirty what is on the floor for him to cram in his mouth?

Kinky, I know carpets hide a multitude of sins and believe me I am no 'Kim and Aggy' but yeah it is a deal if I have still got her clothes in a bucket of water and soda crystal for nearly 48hrs to get the marks out its even round the cuffs of her top where she was crawling, proper filthy, I cannot even think about when she puts her hands in her mouth!!

YHIMH, she goes every sat (he cant have her in week - will lose too much money). I thought about dark outfits but tbh I'm not sure I could deal with the 'cover-up' (bleurggh). DS already has her own set of clothes to go to his in for the same reasons.

Just gonna have to wait till she is walking then, oh well, thx for advice guys x x

How often is she there? Maybe buy a couple of dark legged outfits for when she is there, and sling them in the wash when she gets home.

DS had a while of coming back from his dad's stinking I actually had a "dad's house" coat as everything he was wearing would have to be washed and he would need a bath and a hair wash. Yuk! Fortunately he found a new domestic slave woman who would clean. In the meantime I just had to send him in scruffs and put the washer on when he got home.

Carpets get dirty! Mine looks clean on the surface, but sure it's probably got loads of dirt lurking underneath. Maybe suggest he gets the carpets cleaned, but other than that, is it really a big deal?

If that's from crawling on a carpet, then that is pretty mingin'! It's a pretty awkward situation jog, poor you. x

DD is only 11mnths and not walking yet so still a little baby, if she were 3yrs they can get mucky more!!!

Dont think i can say anything, we dont speak, but its just revolting and i would be sooooo embarrassed, i would be ripping their carpet up straight away and getting tiles/laminate as its easier to clean!!!!

My 3 year old boy gets dirty knees and trousers from crawling. He becomes a dog for a few hours a day.

very true and a bit of dirt never did anyone any harm but this is proper filth all over her leggings, you would think she would have been crawling outside which is more tolerable as you expect her to get mucky and its more natural dirt than filth dirt (if this makes sense!!!!)

You don't want him to come back complaining if you've been painting or similar?
It is a very sensitive subject, you'd have to be very clever to motivate them to start cleaning their floors more.

So, posted on here a while back about dd coming back from exp smelling of bacon but now she is crawling dd comes back with filthy brown trouser knees and toe-ends of her tights after crawling at exp (he lives with parents)!!!

Its absolutely minging to say the least (and makes me wanna hurl)....do I say something or shut-up and wait patiently until she can walk??????
