I've made some friends, so proud of myself

I have no friends left after my marriage, well not quite I have one friend who wouldn't be pushed away and is being as supportive as she can be in her heavily pregnant state, but I have made some new friends and I met them properly on Sunday and it was lovely Smile

That makes no sense I guess but In the last few months I have become a member of a number of fandom type groups and I have spoken to lots of people over the internet and we've got on OK but you know how it is when you're behind a screen it isn't anywhere near as nerve-wracking as seeing people for real. On Sunday on opportunity presented itself to all be in the same place at the same time so we met up and had lunch and a real laugh and it was amazing Smile Sadly we live all over the country but straight back to talking online but with more confidence in the fact the people are real and with every intention of meeting up again soon! They all know about my bloody husband and my crap brother and my rather rubbish family but they really don't care, they like me, they let me have my moments of woe is me and just when the time is right they know how to make me laugh. I do my fair share for them as well so all is good.

I can't see me ever meeting a man online in a dating sense but six months ago I didn't think I'd meet friends that way so who knows Smile

It feels great legohouse and even more so because I had a few messages saying it was nice to meet and we should do it again so they obviously enjoyed it as well Smile

Thank MrawMraw it was scary in the build up but I'm so glad I did it.
