ACCESS AT CHILDS HOME OR CONTACT CENTRE?

il try to be brief for your sakes of courseSmile

ex had contact at my home with ds from 12months old to 14months old (courts and his lack of interest before that)

he was v.abusive and intimidating in my home so it went back to solicitors.

had 1st welfare visit, got her coming to my home this month. my mum has offered to supervise contact at my home (without me or elder ds there) because of little ones health probs:failure to thrive through multiple food intolerances.i wouldnt be happy leaving him with inexperienced man who doesnt know him or how to deal with his dietrary needs and in an alien environment to him

he has refused this and is pushing for contact centre which is 15miles away for me to go there two times a week for 1 hour! got court at end of month also. My question is this, surely the judge would see that access is better for the child in his home rather than being driven for half hour in a car for an hour visit then half hour drive back again? does anyone have any opinions please

What are his objections to having contact in your home? This is what happened before and he was agreeable to this.

If you explain your concerns to the court, he would have to show why contact at a contact centre is in the best interests of the child.

We're all well thanks. DS1 is in Mexico with his school - very wobbly on Saturday when I had to wave him off - and DS2 and DS3 are enjoying not having to compete with him on the PS2!
