<sob>
it's all coming to an end. It has been brilliant
Anyone watching?
It's all abit Mad Max the start...
I really hope not, Katisha (I was Pitti-Sing once, by the way - not on here, on stage). I fear you may be right though. I hope people have less patience with prima donna footballers after seeing genuine sportspeople at both events. WHat can we do to cahnge it if it isn't what we want?

Is there anyone else on? Or is this a Coldplay gig til 11pm??
I wonder how much of this is clear 'live'or are there lots of screens showing it close up?

Loved the first bit, not enjoying ColdPlay and may well be saying goodnight soon.
However in terms of 'inspiring a generation' DS (nearly 10) this evening asked to join an athletics club
.......I shall be looking to book tickets for 2024!

Coldplay aren't really my thing, it's all a bit soporific.
I heard that there were other 'surprise' guests, Raahh. I hope so. BUt they have to play Viva la Vida first or I will be sad.

Most people in the stadium audience will be barely able to see this (except big screen) so suspect we at home have a better idea of what's going on.

Like this better than the other Closing Ceremony. The crowd 'lights' are bloody amazing to watch. And 'normalising' disability - the drummer, the dancers, other people taking part -superb.
I'm annoyed I didn't get tickets when I had the chance.
Thanks London 2012 for a fantastic summer
I'm going to stick the TV on mute. I hate Coldplay.

Yes, liking the acrobatic/acting stuff but not ColdPlay. I think the Lance Corporal who was the narrator should clearly be on the stage, not in an infantry Battalion.

Anything other than Coldplay happening tonight?

Too much coldplay. All their songs sound the same.

There is a bit too much Coldplay, really. I love the light show though.

Are they saving Sir Paul for the end ?

I agree with LeeC, in fact I'd go as far as to say this is the best of the four opening/closing ceremonies (with the exception of ColdPlay).

Are they singing all the seasons?? How many have we had?
I love Coldplay, but they should have just done two songs. They have kind of taken over.
Is Rihanna turning up?
God Coldplay are rubbish - sound like they haven't played together in months! Isn't anyone else on or is it just an extended Coldplay gig...hope not!
How many people paid a fortune for what is unfortunately a glorified Coldplay concert?
Visually stunning, I'm loving it but not enough music variety for me.
