Good Morning

I am a Londoner but, like many other Londoner's, have not seen parts of the capital .

Planning a trip for myself in Spring to visit Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral and The Old Operating Theatre and wondered if anyone had been to the latter and if it was worthwhile ?

TIA

The Old Operating Theatre is v small and doesn't take long, but I like it a lot and have been several times.

Yes I agree, the Old Operating Theatre is worth a visit.

Yes the Old Operating theatre is amazing. It is up some seriously steep steps and is a bit gruesome. I don't recommend it for small children, any one fainty or anyone with mobility difficulties. (The people working there told me more men faint than women!)

If you want mildly gruesome body parts, you might also like to try The Hunterian - the museum of the Royal College of Surgeons (Lincoln's Inn, not Southwark, so perhaps not what!, or rather where, you're after)

The Hunterian = best museum in London. Love it.

The Wellcome worth a visit too, although some of their exhibitions are much better than others. They have a brilliant bookshop.

The Southwark playhouse has some fab stuff on. We saw Sheila Hancock last year.

Tower bridge, design museum (butler's wharf), The Globe Theatre, The Tate Modern, The Clink Museum, HMS Belfast...

If you go to Tate Modern, make sure you go up to their new viewing platform. Loved it... although it must be pretty annoying for the people whose flats are in direct line of sight.
