So sad to read about the tragic death of the toddler who got caught up in the cord from a window blind this week. Sadly it is not the first time and nor will it be the last.
Blind Cord Safety
Keep cords out of the reach of children. Install blinds without a cord, particularly in a childs bedroom. Do not place a childs cot or highchair near a window. Pull-cord s should be kept short and out of reach. Tie up the cords or use one of the many cleats, cord-tidies or clips available Dont cut the cords. That can lead to one cord becoming longer, increasing the risk of entanglement, or can create a dangerous loop.
If you find your baby or child not breathing start CPR immediately and do not stop until the emergency services arrive.
