We are moving to Richmond early in the new year (2012) with our seven month old. Does anyone have any tips on good estate agents, or indeed does anyone know of a house or flat for rent in Richmond or Kew Gardens?!

Also what, if any, are your favourite baby-friendly cafes, bookshops, restaurants etc? Looking forward very, very much to the move - now to find somewhere to live!

Best agents in Kew IMO are Antony roberts and featherstone leigh, halletts quite good for rentals but tbh you just want to register with rightmove.com or similar - put in teh area you want (probably TW9) and get them to email you updates. Plenty to rent around here (one in my road) but very much depends on what you want and your budget.

My DS is 6 so I've kinda forgotten which cafes are baby friendly but most are from memory.

Hi
Know where you've been. Moved here to Richmond 6 mths ago with our kids. Good estate agent - very personal and friendly because they're local and very patient - Hometown Realty Richmond Va. I dealt with Adrian Spears - great guy and very honest. Great museums for kids - Children Science Museum; Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (has a water play area); Planetarium; Maymont Park, great shopping st - Cary St. Hope that helps.
