Hello,

I'm meeting my friend-who-I-haven't-seen-in-years in Richmond on Monday. She has a young baby (<6m) and I have a "free-spirited" 18mo. I'd love recommendations of places we could meet for coffee, go to play, or have lunch please!

My toddler is happiest being able to wander around and do his own thing, he hates being restrained in a highchair for anything other than food...and tbh, food doesn't always cut it.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :-)
Many thanks x

There's a playgroup called lollipop club at London welsh rugby ground on kew road where you could go and both children can play. They serve food and drink, and they're open 10-4. They're online if you google them.

Pizza Express has a corner with a few books and toys in as well as colouring equipment (and some screens with games on but your DS is prob a bit little for those). If you pick your time right you can have the place to yourself. You can also pay a couple of pounds for a tray of dough + rolling pins etc but again this might not appeal to your DS yet.

If you are meeting sometime between 10am-2pm you could got to the cafe under the Duke Street Church (on Duke Street). There is plenty of room, a playhouse for your toddler, drinkable coffee and cakes, and they are happy for you to take your own sandwiches etc

As mentioned, PizzaExpress is also good, very child friendly. Other options for lunch would be Giraffe or Carluccios, both have kids menus and colouring stuff for the kids.
