Help with Interior Design

Can any one recommend someone that can help me with some basic Interior Design advice? I don't want to spend loads of money, but I do need some help and advice on colour schemes, furniture etc.

There must be loads of choice round here!

I have two schoolgate friends who have successful careers in interior design.
